Fire Alarm Engineer/Designer/Surveyor

Due to the Company’s continued success, we are looking to expand the Fire Team in the Midlands and are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Fire Alarm Engineer/Designer/Surveyor. This role would ideally suit a an experienced fire alarm engineer looking to progress their career.

The role involves:

  • Assisting with design compliance including back-office support and site surveys and visits
  • Attending site and customer meetings to discuss fire alarm compliance and system offerings
  • Advising on non-compliance matters and issuing of technical bulletins
  • Assisting with third party inspection audits and documentation
  • Providing technical support to internal staff and external customers
  • Carry out site surveys and produce proposals for the customer
  • Always Providing a premium service to customers
  • Working to Health and Safety practices at all times

Key experience / Qualifications:

  • Ideally 10 years’ experience at engineer level with some experience of supervision and customer liaison
  • Good IT and Microsoft software skills
  • Ideally Gent trained
  • Experience of working to BAFE SP203-1
  • A good working knowledge of the relevant British Standards, Regulations and Legislation
  • You will be a team player with ambition who is willing to learn new technologies and procedures

  • A positive, self-motivated and proactive individual with a passion for fire alarm and life safety systems
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a demanding workplace
  • Well organised, have self-discipline and be able to meet deadlines
  • Full Driving Licence

  • Working hours: Monday – Friday, 8.00am – 5.00pm (Permanent)
