TIS will champion WiRL's values and act as an exemplar business of how diversity in the workplace can be achieved and aid business success
Women in Retirement Living (WiRL), the industry organisation that works to champion, represent and empower women and other underrepresented groups within the UK retirement living sector, and TIS, the independent life safety, security and communications systems integrator, have formed a partnership that will see TIS help support WiRL’s core messages and mission. TIS, as a keen advocate of diversity in the retirement living sector, will also champion WiRL’s values and act as an exemplar business of how diversity in the workplace can be achieved and aid business success.
WiRL, formed in 2023, has an established network of sponsors and supporters, including organisations such as retirement living operator Inspired Villages, real estate advisors JLL, law firm Trowers & Hamlins, trade body ARCO and engineering and project management company Atkins Realis. TIS becomes WiRL’s first corporate partner.
Commenting on behalf of WiRL, Tade Muyiwa-George, Chair, said:
"All of us at WiRL are absolutely delighted to be partnering with TIS. There is a great synergy between our mission and values and those of TIS and having them as our first official partner is a tremendous milestone as we grow and expand. TIS' support is invaluable, and we very much look forward to working alongside them as we seek to ensure women and other groups who are under-represented in the retirement living sector are heard, empowered and recognised for the massive contribution they make."
James Twigg, CEO of TIS commented:
"I believe every single day is an opportunity to improve yourself and your business and partnering with likeminded people and organisations to effect real change is important to us. Partnering with WiRL underscores our commitment to diversity and inclusion, which is vital for innovation and sector growth. This brilliant collaboration enables us to harness diverse perspectives, fostering a more innovative, empathetic, and comprehensive approach to retirement living solutions, whilst signifying our shared goal of enhancing industry standards and outcomes through the empowerment and inclusion of all talents".
