Employee engagement surveys provide valuable insights into our workforce, helping us gauge productivity, inclusivity, and predict retention. We use quarterly surveys to listen, learn and improve-helping us shape a meaningful culture.

Insights from Q1 2025 TIS Group Employee Engagement Survey:

  • Strong daily engagement: Over 75% of employees rated their daily engagement between 8–10 out of 10
  • The most commonly chosen words to describe TIS’s culture were 'Inclusive', 'Engaging', 'Respectful', and 'Collaborative'
  • Employees are most motivated by: A positive work environment, work-life balance, supportive colleagues and teams, feeling valued and purposeful work (top-ranked culture factor)
  • Trust in people over processes: When needing support, most employees turn to colleagues and line managers rather than formal structures — reinforcing the strength of internal team dynamics and a collaborative culture
  • Pride and purpose: Employees cited pride in their work, self-motivation, and a desire to protect others as personal drivers — many feel their role contributes to something meaningful
  • High Advocacy Score: When asked how likely they are to recommend TIS as a great place to work, 67 respondents rated it 8 or above, with 29 selecting 10/10 — indicating strong overall satisfaction and loyalty

Future Leaders Programme

Our Future Leaders Programme serves as the foundation for leadership excellence across TIS, guiding how we inspire and empower our teams. We understand that culture is shaped by the behaviour of leaders, which is why these principles are embedded into every aspect of leadership development, from performance conversations to talent planning and team growth initiatives.

Through the Future Leaders Programme, we provide aspiring leaders with the tools, resources, and support they need to understand what exceptional leadership looks like. More importantly, we encourage each participant to take ownership of their leadership journey, fostering a commitment to personal growth and a dedication to becoming the best leader for their teams and the communities we serve.

Championing equality

We are proud to support and actively participate in initiatives like Women in Retirement Living (WiRL) and Women in Security because we recognise the vital role diversity and inclusion play in driving innovation and excellence in our industry.

WiRL provides a platform to empower women, amplify their voices, and address the unique challenges they face in retirement living and related sectors. Women in Security is a sector-wide initiative that promotes gender equality and empowers women working across all areas of the security industry. As part of our ESG commitment to building a more inclusive and supportive workplace, this partnership reflects our belief that true progress is driven by diversity, representation, and opportunity.

Our Apprenticeship Academy is at the heart of our commitment to nurturing the next generation of talent in engineering and design. By providing hands-on training, mentorship, and career development opportunities, the Academy unearths future star engineers and designers who will drive innovation and excellence in life safety and security.

Importantly, the Academy serves as a critical pathway for women to enter STEM careers, breaking down barriers and fostering a more inclusive industry. By empowering apprentices with the skills and confidence they need to excel, we are not only investing in their individual potential but also strengthening the future of our business and the wider STEM community.
