Longbridge retirement village was a £1.2 million project to install building-wide communications, security and life safety systems, along with our ‘Smart Building Converged Infrastructure’.
A new-build retirement village, the site includes 260 apartments and 18 health and leisure facilities, spread across five acres on the edge of Longbridge town centre.
Longbridge is a very large complex, comprising five floors and spanning some five acres. Ensuring signals reached the extents of the building was a particular challenge and it was imperative that all apartments received the same quality of service.
Utilising a twin fibre infrastructure enabled us to reach these areas with little or no signal loss and therefore provide the residents and staff with the high quality and reliable services they required.
We installed and integrated; Fibre TV Distribution, Fire Alarm, IP Door Entry, IP Access Control, IP Telephony System, Hybrid (IP/Analogue) Emergency Call System, Fibre Data Network Infrastructure, UPS Power Backup, Mobile Phone Repeater System, Digital Signage, CCTV, Wi-Fi, BT Openreach Distribution and Bespoke Alarm Reporting Software, all integrated with an Android handset deployment and custom apps.
Developing a bespoke design, we installed a converged infrastructure that seamlessly links all systems together on a common platform.
