This month, we celebrate Mark Wilson’s three decades with TIS. This is a journey that has seen him leave a lasting impact on the people, projects and culture that define our business today.
Mark understands that protecting people, places and spaces starts with developing great people. Alongside his own professional growth, he has played a key role in nurturing talent across TIS. He takes great pride in mentoring colleagues, sharing expertise and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. His commitment to raising standards and supporting others has helped bring our mission and vision to life, ensuring TIS continues to make a meaningful difference to the clients and communities we serve.
Above and Beyond
Mark’s contribution to TIS reaches beyond the workplace.
Anyone who knows him understands that leadership is about more than business results. It is about bringing people together, creating a positive culture and making a difference in the communities we serve.
Over the years, Mark has enthusiastically supported numerous charitable initiatives, helping TIS raise valuable funds and awareness for important causes.
Whether tackling the demanding Coast to Coast cycling challenge, taking part in a gruelling 100km 24-hour walk, or rolling up his sleeves for one of the company’s most loved fundraising events, the Leadership Car Wash, Mark has always led from the front.
The annual car wash has become something of a TIS tradition, with members of the leadership team swapping meetings for buckets and sponges as they clean colleagues’ cars and vans to raise money for charity. It perfectly reflects the down-to-earth leadership style that Mark is known for which is approachable, hands-on and always willing to get stuck in.
Growth of TIS
Of course, it would be impossible to reflect on Mark’s 30-year career without recognising the contribution he has made to the growth of TIS itself.
Over three decades, the industry has evolved dramatically. Technologies have advanced, customer expectations have changed and businesses have had to adapt faster than ever before. Throughout that journey, Mark has been a constant driving force, helping the organisation navigate challenges, seize opportunities and continue growing.
