We recently completed an exciting project, helping West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) prepare for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham!
With 72 participating nations and over 1.3 million tickets sold, this year welcomed the largest ever Commonwealth Games which required a huge amount of preparation to ensure that key areas of the city were properly secured.
For this colossal undertaking, we were brought on to secure key transport routes around the city with state of the art CCTV cameras, update the main control centre by installing three new monitor display walls (consisting of a total of 45 screens) and then integrate this system to allow for camera sharing between WMCA and Birmingham City Council.
We couldn’t be more proud of our team who kept a permanent on-site presence throughout the 10 days of the games, with senior engineers covering 12-15 hours a day to be ‘on hand’ to deal with any system emergency.
This ensured unmatched protection of the event and surrounding areas at all times – made possible by our incredible engineers and project managers.
Well done team!
